The answer for me is yes! Currently, all I need is access to wifi or internet and my Etsy app. I am out of office in Arizona this week visiting the Grand Canyon so I am testing my business' mobility. I put an "Out of Office" message on my Etsy site so my customers understand there will be a delay in the orders they place. However, business does not stop when I am away from my sewing machine. I still need to answer all my customers questions and continue doing research to get ready for when I return and meet with Macy's. I can easily answer questions through Etsy's wonderful app and Safari on my iPhone does the trick for research. I do bring my laptop with me just in case, but a majority of my business is accomplished on my iPhone (in my SmartPurse of course!). I know I will have a lot of orders to catch up on when I return.
Travelling gives me incredible joy and is one of my greatest passions. I love exploring other areas of the country and world and constantly find inspiration through these experiences. During this trip, I visited one of Frank Lloyd Wright's beautiful houses called Taliesin West. I had always admired his work from afar such as Falling Waters but seeing this masterpiece in person was breathtaking. On the tour we learned about how Wright loved to integrate light, shadows, nature, and geometry into his work. Personally, I always have been inspired by geometric shapes and patterns and seeing these translated into his building blew me away. My favorite room in the building was his bedroom, where he had 2 separate beds, one for sleeping and one for napping where the sunlight hit it perfectly. The rest of the room was completely open air and had an incredible view of the desert. After seeing his work in person, I feel that Frank Lloyd Wright is one of my greatest inspirations and I hope to visit some of his other works in the near future.
